US Queries Indo-Pacific Allies on Taiwan War Plans

Hello, welcome to Warfare News. Recently, a very funny instance happened when the United States of America asked its Allies. When I say Allies, primarily, I am talking about Japan and Australia in the Indo-Pacific region. The USA asked both countries to tell us their plans. Tomorrow, when China attacks Taiwan, what will you do then? In what way will you help the USA? In what way will you attack China? What will be your role in the war? Basically, what do you have to offer? This is a move that only Donald Trump can do. Openly asking your Allies how a potential war is going to happen. Now again, if you are thinking here that the US has already assumed that there will be a war over the issue of Taiwan. See, this is a geopolitical reality. This will happen. It will happen this year; it will happen next year. Again, it is very difficult to predict the exact timing because many other things matter. But a big war will be fought in the Indo-Pacific region over the issue of Taiwan. And Donald Trump wants to know whether the US is standing completely alone. Because if you look at the Ukraine-Russia issue, initially, the US supported Ukraine. Later, gradually, other European countries came, so in this particular case, it should not happen that the US alone is helping Taiwan and Japan and Australia, say that we do not want to be a part of any kind of war. Now the question of the USA was How ready are you? What will you do for us? What participation will you do in the war?
Australia’s Unexpected Response
Australia’s “Weakest Link” Status
A very funny reply came from Australia. See, I have said this many times before. Australia is the weakest link in the Quad. It is the weakest country militarily and at the same time it is a highly developed country where these people focus the most on their living standards. These people will even give a shock to the USA to maintain their economy.
PM Albanese’s China Visit and Economic Priorities

Recently, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese went to China and shot a video himself where he says that China is very important for us, and the Australian economy benefits a lot from China. Just imagine, at a time when the US is asking Australia what it will do in the case of war against Taiwan? This message comes from Australia. I am here in Shanghai, China, supporting Australian businesses, supporting Australian jobs, and supporting our economy. Where one in four Australian jobs depends upon free and fair trade. And from its biggest export partner, China, tourism, education, all engaging with China in a constructive way to boost economic benefits, engaging China in building a stable and secure region over the next few days, what I am doing is building on that relationship to the benefit of Indian jobs and the economy. Name me one Quad country other than Australia whose PM or President goes to China and records such a video saying that it is in our interest to engage with China. Only if we engage with China, a peaceful region will be created. China is important for us. Okay, fine. What is the need to go and record this video? It’s a clear message to the US and whichever country believes that when there is a war over the Taiwan issue, then Australia will take a big part in it. Again, when the conflict starts, maybe the US will try arm-twisting. You know, you cannot leave our old alliance. You are a Five Eyes country, you will have to help. That is a different matter. The situation may change at that time. But for now, Australia has given its answer to Trump, and there is a reason behind this. I will explain to you what the geopolitical reason is.
The AUKUS Factor: A Reason for Australian Hesitation
You all will remember that Australia, the UK, and the USA had jointly signed a defense pact called AUKUS. If you look at AUCUS, it means Australia, the UK, and the US. Under this agreement, the USA and the UK were going to make nuclear submarines for Australia. Due to which Australia’s power would have increased manifold in the Indo-Pacific. Suddenly, Trump put a stop to AUCUS and said that he would review it. Australians were shocked to a great extent. They thought that the AUCUS deal had now been finalized. Very soon, the process of constructing this submarine will start. And it will take time in the coming few years. Australia will have nuclear submarines in 510 years. But because of the review done by Trump, this AUKUS deal has been delayed by several months. And now no one has proper information about whether this deal will move forward or not. So Australia saw this from the beginning, if Trump is not serious about AUKUS, then why should we assure Trump that what will we do when there is a war over the Taiwan issue? We will speak openly, our PM will go openly. He will come to China, saying that look, relations with China are in our interest, and China is our biggest export partner. Because remember, this visit of Anthony Albanese to Australia could have happened without saying all these things, this video that has been released is specifically for the US.
Japan’s Silence and Quest for Independence
Japan’s Strategic Stakes
Now, from Australia we come to Japan. Japan has a lot at stake. If Taiwan is captured by China, then the next target will be Japan. So the USA asked Japan to give clarity on what role it will play in a potential war over Taiwan? Japan is still silent.
Calls for Ending US Dependence
But the Prime Prime Minister of Japan has given such statements in the last few days that Japan will have to end its complete dependence on the United States of America. Japan will have to end its dependence on the USA. It will have to become a truly independent country. Which depends on itself for defense, which does not depend only on the US in terms of export. So again, the tariffs imposed by Trump on Japan, Japanese businessmen, and their bureaucrats, none of them are happy. The USA is very angry. So Japan is also not giving any proper answer to the USA till now. What will Japan do if there is a war over the Taiwan issue?
The Quad’s Disunity and India’s Position
China’s Advantage from Disunity
So again, this is bad. China will be very happy to see that there is no uniformity. There is no unity. Regarding the Taiwan issue, only one country is left, and India is left.
The Question of Indian Involvement
Now the question arises that, the way the US is supporting Pakistan, will India genuinely send its navy over the Taiwan issue so that we can fight China? That happens. India has started building pressure on China over the Tibet issue to some extent. This is a beginning. But for now, I am feeling that the US is not even expecting that the Indian Navy will go and fight China in the South China Sea or provide support to the USA or Taiwan. At least for the time being. If some development happens in between, then I cannot say anything about it. But China will be pleased to see all this. Because tomorrow, if they attack Taiwan. Trump will also get this excuse. What can I do alone? When Japan and Australia do not want to do anything. When no member of the Quad except the USA wants to come to Taiwan’s help, then why should we increase our expenses? Let Taiwan go. And in that case, let me tell you that China can capture Taiwan very easily. There can be an easy, quick takeover of the Chinese military of Taiwan. This is very much a possibility.
India’s Role in a Potential Taiwan Conflict: A Deliberation
Now, finally, I would like to ask you a question here. Looking at the current stance of Australia and Japan, do you believe that India should do something regarding the Taiwan issue, or do absolutely nothing? For once, your argument can also be that China can do so much to help Pakistan. If we simply let Taiwan go and say that you are on your own. It will not show our weakness. So again, here I would like to know your opinion in the future, when there will be a war over Taiwan, should India participate in any way or not, write in the comment section
