India’s Victory at the BRICS Summit and China’s Step Back
Introduction: India’s Big Win at BRICS
Hello, welcome to Warfarenews. Now, recently India has had a big victory. China could not block the mention of the Pahalgam terror attack in the BRICS summit in Brazil. I would also like to say here that somewhere or the other, China has taken a step back about India’s stance on Tibet and the way the Pahalgam terror attack was openly mentioned in the recent Quad meeting.
SEO Meeting: The First Clash
In this BRICS summit, actually, I would say Pahalgam Maker was properly mentioned. It has also been condemned. Now, this issue started when the SEO meeting was held. Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which is an international group. Its meeting is held in China. India’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh goes to China. And in the final statement, the Pahalgam terror attack is not mentioned because of Pakistan and China. India refuses to sign this declaration. It became international news.
Quad Meeting and BRICS Confirmation

After that, a crucial Quad meeting is held in the US. The Pahalgam attack is mentioned there. It is condemned. And now we are seeing that the Pahalgam attack was properly mentioned in the BRICS summit as well.
Why Pakistan Wasn’t Named Directly
Now, if some of you are thinking why it was not openly said here in this document that Pakistan has carried out this attack, etc. Now, see, Pakistani terrorists were involved here. It is tricky to establish the direct involvement of the government here and to write it in the overall written form at the BRICS summit. We will do it eventually.
You will see that at one time, many countries did not mention Pakistan while talking about the 26/11 attack that happened in India. But at one point, gradually, when the USA also mentioned the 26/11 attack many times, it also started mentioning Pakistan along with it. It will take time, but eventually it will happen.
Importance of SCO Declining
For now, let me say it here. I made a video on both the BRICS Summit and the Quad meeting. The conclusions that have emerged from both make one thing clear. The importance of SCO in today’s time has decreased a lot. Since Pakistan will constantly try to save terrorists, SCO will always remain a group with a lot of problems.
Putin, Xi Jinping Absent; India’s Strategic Tour

And if your question here is that Brazil is hosting the BRICS Summit this time. But in the photo that has come out, where are Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping? Look, Putin and Xi Jinping are not attending this summit. The participation of the countries is here. China and Russia have been represented. You will see Russia’s Lavrov here with the ministers of these two countries.
And if you are wondering how PM Modi reached Brazil so soon? So today, Modi ji is on a tour of five countries. I have made a video on this in the past. First, he went to Ghana, then he went to Argentina, then Brazil, and finally he will go to Namibia. I will try to upload some shots of Namibia because Namibia is a very important country. 11% of the global uranium supply comes from Namibia. This will be a very important country for India. I will also cover this visit adequately.
Trump’s Tariff Threat and BRICS Response
However, let’s start by discussing the BRICS summit. A big victory for India here is that the Pahalgam terrorist attack was mentioned. But at the same time, Donald Trump got very angry about this BRICS summit. Trump directly said here that if any country aligns itself with BRICS, and he specifically mentioned what BRICS is? BRICS is anti-American, according to them.
Now again, till now, BRICS has not taken any anti-American steps. At the individual level, there are some countries that talk of abandoning the dollar. For example, Vladimir Putin has already talked about it. Recently, Brazil’s President Lula da Silva has also said that the world will have to look beyond the dollar. But you cannot call BRICS anti-American.
But Trump has said that if any country that is moving ahead with anti-American policies supports BRICS, then I will impose an additional 10% tariff. Now, I find this funny here, again, I say that Trump’s threats, etc., not only the Americans but the whole world is saying this here, seem so hollow.
Trump’s Flip-Flop on Tariff Threats
A few months ago, he was saying something else. Here you will see that this is Trump’s tweet, a few months old. Here he has written that the idea is that the BRICS countries now want to move away from the dollar, want to create a BRICS currency, and then I will not let all this happen. Here he is saying that the BRICS countries will have to assure me in writing that they will never try to replace the dollar, and if they do not do so, I will impose a 100% tariff.
This is a tweet from a few months ago. You can see Trump’s platform on Truth Social. Now it has fallen from 100% to 10%. So I mean, I have never seen so much fluctuation in the statement of a prominent leader. Suppose he wanted to give a threat because these are roundabout threats. It will neither be 10% nor 100%. If it is imposed, you know it will be for a few months. Then, to a large extent, they will take a U-turn.
So, at least I would say that Trump should maintain a unity that if he has to threaten the BRICS countries, then the threat of tariffs here should remain uniform.
BRICS Condemns US Sanctions

So again, no one showed any seriousness about Trump’s threat. On the contrary, the BRICS countries have condemned Donald Trump’s tariffs in a joint statement, not just India. Obviously, India, China, and Russia, all three together, have condemned Donald Trump’s tariffs.
Here you will see the article BRICS leaders have condemned Donald Trump’s tariffs and unilateral sanctions. And again, look, I want to share this here as well. As a person who covers geopolitics, all this is very frustrating for me. I cannot describe it to you because usually when the US President says something, there is some weight behind it. You assume that this will be the policy. But so many flip-flops are happening here that everything has become a joke. It’s sad to see.
Gaza, Iran, and WTO Issues Raised
And if you see the statements of the BRICS leaders, then openly the misuse of tariffs here has been condemned by the US. It has also been mentioned that the starvation regime is being used as a tactic of warfare. We are against it. Obviously, the situation in Gaza is being discussed. What is happening with Gaza is primarily Israel’s defense there. So that is what is being discussed here.
And finally, the air strikes that were done on Iran. This is a violation of international law. Now think about it once. We did a lot of strikes on Pakistan. The international community believes that those strikes were legitimate and should have been done. Therefore, you will not find a violation of international law in that case.
WTO’s Relevance and Final Thoughts
This is another big victory for India. You can see in any summit that the destruction of Pakistan’s air bases by us has not been condemned anywhere.
And in this summit, you will also see that the BRICS countries have openly said that the importance of the WTO has completely gone away. If we look at any country, I mean primarily the US, we feel like imposing tariffs on anyone. Somewhere or the other, the importance of the WTO will have to be brought back to the center stage, or there should be an organization that regulates international trade tariffs, etc.
Because what is happening now is that any leader gets up and says something like I will impose so many tariffs and the stock market goes up and down. People’s trust in big institutions starts to slowly diminish in this way.
So again, the BRICS summit that has been held this time is very important. What is happening in Gaza was openly condemned. The attacks on Iran were condemned. Neither the US nor Israel will be happy to see this BRICS summit.
And the interesting thing is that India did not protect Israel at all in this BRICS summit. We did not try to block the mention of Israel anywhere.
Final Question to Readers
Now I would like to ask you people here, according to you, India did not block the mention of Israel at all, since this is the right decision. Was this the right decision, or do you believe that since India has good relations with Israel, we could have done some intervention here? Write about it in the comment section.
